Description

Protecting the cloud environment and its components starts with a strong cloud architecture. This module aims to address security aspects of cloud architecture, including serverless and container security and service mesh. Cloud Security Best Practices: Privileged Password Management, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Just-in-Time (JIT) Access Moreover, cloud infrastructure security, security controls, authentication, user protection services, and logical security architecture.

This module is the 4th of the 8 modules forming part of the Micro-credential in Cloud Security.

Completion of core Modules 3-6 grants a micro-credential and a
Cloud Security Practitioner Digital Badge
Completion of core Modules 3-6 and specialization Modules 7-8 focusing on specific technologies and industry sectors grants a
Cloud Security Expert Digital Badge and an Attestation of Completion.
Professionals without prior experience in IT, must complete all 8 modules in order to obtain the Cloud Security Expert Digital Badge and Attestation of Completion from McGill University’s School of Continuing Studies.

Prerequisite(s) and Corequisite(s)

For participants without prior experience or education background in IT, it is strongly recommended to complete Modules 1 & 2.
