The TEF Canada is a French language proficiency test recognized by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) as a measure of proficiency for its citizenship selection process and Federal Immigration programs.
Please note that all fees are non-refundable in case of unjustified cancellation.
Registration must be completed online.
After registration closes, we will first validate all registrations and then we will create the test schedule. Since not all candidates are registered for the same combination of tests, we create a specific schedule for each candidate. All tests must take place between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. We always schedule the various test parts so that there is little to no waiting time between them.
The individual test schedule will be communicated to each candidate 3 days prior to the test date and cannot be modified.
On the day of the test, you cannot participate in any extra evaluations other than the one(s) you originally registered for. No exceptions, under any circumstances, will be made.
Candidates must respect a 30-day wait period between two test registrations. If this 30-day period is not respected, the registration will be canceled.
Carefully check the data you enter in the online registration form, as it will appear on the attestation.
All candidates must present themselves on the date of the test with the following documents:
- The registration form (download the registration form)
- Final confirmation of Enrollment/Registration (sent by e-mail approximately 3 days prior to the test date)
- A valid passport
- One photograph (35 mm x 45 mm format)
Please note that these documents are required to take the test. Without these documents, you will be denied access to the test and the fee will not be refunded.
The TEF CANADA candidates will receive an email giving them access to their electronic attestation approximately six weeks after the test.
