Description

This course is designed for professionals with a very good knowledge of French. Its aim is to help learners acquire and develop INTERMEDIATE LEVEL comprehension and expression skills in spoken French. The course includes a systematic study of vocabulary, speech acts, grammatical structures and the French phonetic system corresponding to this level. Activities will be organized and presented around themes linked to real-life professional situations.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Describe their work tasks
  • Describe the people around them in the workplace
  • Talk about their relationship with hierarchy
  • Simulate a job interview
  • Talk about intercultural relations in the workplace
  • Look at generational differences in the workplace

Prerequisite(s) and Corequisite(s)

Successful completion of the Elementary level of F@W (2 courses), placement test, or departmental permission
