Description

This course is designed for professionals with a very basic knowledge of French. Its aim is to help learners acquire and develop their comprehension and expression skills in spoken French at BEGINNER LEVEL. The course includes a systematic study of vocabulary, speech acts, grammatical structures and the French phonetic system corresponding to this level. Activities will be organized and presented around themes linked to real-life professional situations.

Identity/cardinal and ordinal numbers/prices and budget/daily actions/meals/family/character

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Introduce themselves and others
  • Formulate and ask questions
  • Ask for and give prices, make simple purchases and transactions, make payments
  • Place orders, describe meals and tastes
  • Name family members
  • Describe a person's appearance and character

Successful completion of the Beginner 1 level of F@W (1 course), placement test, or departmental permission
