DescriptionIn order to begin studying in the French for Medical Purposes program all new students (except for the beginners level) are required to take the French for Medical Purposes Placement Test. Test results are used to evaluate the student’s current level of proficiency in our program structure. Students can take the test only once per session and the results are valid for one year.
The test is approximately two hours and consists of four different sections:
- Phonetics and listening comprehension
- Reading comprehension
Your test result will be ready 1 business day following the end of the placement test period. When it is ready, we will notify you by email and provide you with instructions on how to retrieve your test result. Information about how to register for courses will be sent by email.
On the first day of classes, the course lecturer confirms the student’s placement and may recommend a transfer to another level in certain cases. In each case, the final decision for a transfer is made by the course lecturer and the administration.
