Description

This study group explores the new cognitive neuroscience of music, the evolutionary significance of music, and the emotional impacts of music on humans. We’ll consider the complexities of perceiving musical rhythms, differences in brain functions between musicians and non-musicians, music’s role in neural rehabilitation, and compare the musicality of humans to that of other animals.
