Description

History is replete with shocking incidents of deceit, deception and, yes, FAKE NEWS! From recent political idiocy (They’re eating the dogs! They’re eating the cats!) to political bias in the tapestry of Bayeux, to religious cults, medical quackery, and forged art, there are many facets of this vast theme worth exploring. How do we arm ourselves against falsehoods and superstition, and how can so many be duped? Join us as we take gleeful pleasure in debunking myths and attempting to find the truth. Participants will be encouraged to contribute with a traditional presentation, an article, a short video, discussion questions, or whatever your imagination decrees- both practical and technical help will be offered.
