Description

This study group will take a detailed look at how the movies you love are created, examining as many aspects as possible – from screenwriting and casting through set design, shooting, and editing. From conception all the way to the screen! We will see who does what on the movie crew, how stories are broken down into individual shots, to be assembled into fluid action which seems to have been filmed with many cameras (it hasn’t!). We will look at stunts, special effects, and much more, including any behind-the-scenes details you want to know about. Ultimately, the goal will be to deepen your appreciation of cinema and equip you with a vocabulary to speak more knowledgably about it.
