Description

This study group will look at selections from English-language stories of different styles and historical periods, written for and about children, focusing on the assumed purpose, audience and popularity of each selection. Participants will receive a reading set (about 20 pages) each week, accompanied by a few questions for discussion during the study group session. The readings will include some classic stories plus some surprises. Anyone who has been a child may suggest other stories or poems that might interest the participants. Try this link for a sample reading.
