To deepen our understanding of and pleasure in stories, poems, and plays, we’ll examine the elements that make each genre unique and how they create a rich language that can reveal the whole range of human experience. Emphasis will be on close textual analysis and discussion. The drama component will include an outing to Centaur Theatre to see Michael Tremblay’s For the Pleasure of Seeing Her Again. As Margaret Atwood has pointed out, “In the end, we’ll all become stories.” .
