Description

A guided exploration and discussion of topics that both mainstream and Indigenous Peoples find perplexing (e.g., pretendians, land back, sovereignty, cultural assimilation and appropriation, re-creating a livable environment, Doctrine of Discovery). The study group moderator has French-Canadian and Indigenous (Anishinaabe) ancestry, with dual residency in Montreal and Vermont. Study group participants will propose topics and work together to find nuanced responses to issues often posed in misleadingly simplistic terms.
