Description

This study group will study the progression of fascism to peace through an exploration of the 1919 Paris Peace Conference, its decisions and consequences. Group presentations will include: the rise of Nazism in Germany, the blitzkrieg launch of the Second World War, the Battles of Britain and the Atlantic, Hitler’s Barbarossa invasion of Russia, Pearl Harbour and the American entry into the war, the Allied campaigns in North Africa and Italy, the use of deception, the invasion of Europe on D-Day, the war against Japan in the Pacific, and the development and use of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
