Description

Edward Maxwell, renowned Montréal architect, who shaped so much of Montreal’s legacy heritage of fine buildings, will be the focus of this presentation. A comprehensive overview which includes the Birks building, the Meredith house and other legacy buildings - will lead into an intimate journey through the Lafleur Estate, still very much ‘alive’, in St Lazare – the last residence designed in Quebec before his death. This series will also include the works and influence of his brother and partner, William Maxwell. McGill owns some of the more important Maxwell buildings.
