Official Description

The non-credit Professional Development Certificate in Full Stack JavaScript Development is designed to equip professionals with the Front End and Back End web development skills needed to create web applications using the latest in-demand technologies, as well as in-depth knowledge of client and server side JavaScript frameworks required to develop complete web applications. Focus is placed on JavaScript, HMTL5, CSS3, ReactJS, Node.js, ExpressJS and SQL.

This program is offered in English and must be completed within six (6) semesters.

 

Supplementary Information

Choose from 2 options: a part-time evening format or an intensive full-time format.

The full-time intensive program qualifies for the Quebec Renewed Prosperity Through Greater Training Program.

Admission Requirements

AND

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • Applicants between the ages of 18-21 must hold a minimum of:
    • Applicants from Quebec: Diploma of College Studies (DCS) / Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC), or the equivalent.*
    • Applicants with International Credentials or from other Canadian Provinces: 1 year of full-time university studies.
  • Applicants between 18-21 who do not meet the above requirements may still apply and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
  • Applicants who are 21 years of age or older may be admitted as mature students.
* Equivalent: 1 year of full time university studies (30 credits)

Documents required:

Please have electronic versions of the following documents available before starting the application process (clicking on “Apply Now”).
 
  • A copy of your passport (photo ID page) OR Canadian Birth Certificate OR Permanent Resident Card OR Citizenship Card/Certificate.

AND

  • Your Programming Aptitude Test score. Note that a document is not required in this case. You will simply be asked to enter your test score prior to submitting your application.

AND

For applicants between the ages of 18-21 who hold a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) / Diplôme d'études collégiales (DEC), or the equivalent:

  • A copy of your DEC transcript with proof of graduation on it.

For applicants between the ages of 18-21 who have 1 year of full-time university studies:

  • A copy of your university transcript. Note that transcripts in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by an English or French translation provided by the institution issuing the transcript or by a certified translator.

For applicants between the ages of 18-21 who do not have a DCS/DEC (or equivalent) OR 1 year of full-time university studies:

  • A letter of intent.
  • A copy of your curriculum vitae (CV).
  • A copy of your transcript for your highest level of education, as well as a copy of your diploma (if applicable). Transcripts in languages other than English or French must be accompanied by an English or French translation provided by the institution issuing the transcript or by a certified translator.
