The Micro-credential in Property Regulations and Finance Management is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills required to manage legal and financial aspects of residential properties. Courses cover the underlying legal, financial, and accounting frameworks of residential property management in Quebec.. The micro-credential is fully bilingual, with the finance management course delivered in English and the legal and regulation course in French.

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this micr-ocredential, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the main legal principles contained in the Civil Code of Quebec and other legal frameworks governing residential and co-ownership properties
  • Understand the financial and accounting aspects, such as budgeting, preparation of financial statements, negotiation with suppliers, collection, financing of a contingency and self-insurance fund, cash-flow planning, preparation for audit, taxation and investments) of a residential property and condominium in order to ensure their sustainability

Who Should Attend?

This micro-credential is relevant for property managers, administrators of self-managed condominiums and residential real estate investors, or professionals interested in legal and financial aspects of property management.

Applicant must be 18 years of age or older. 

Proof of English proficiency is not required. However, since the language of instruction is English, a good command of English is required in order to perform well in courses and complete the micro-credential.
