Description

This 36-hour course presents strategies and practice opportunities to prepare candidates to succeed on the OQLF French test for the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec. It is composed of three modules: a 12-hour asynchronous, online module; a 12-hour synchronous, online module; and a real-time, in-person, 12-hour exam simulation. Learners will have abundant opportunities to practice and will receive extensive and detailed feedback.

Learning Outcomes

With active participation in the course, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the four steps of the OQLF exam
  • Use strategies to manage time and stress
  • Participate effectively in a group interaction
  • Respond effectively, and with greater confidence, to questions from OQLF evaluators
  • Effectively demonstrate their language level
  • Use French to communicate in a simulated work-based scenario in the field of nursing
  • Use online tools and resources for further study

Prerequisite(s) and Corequisite(s)

Proof of B1 Level (DELF, DALF, TEFaQ, TEFCAN, TCF, or SCS online placement test) or permission of the director

Who Should Attend?

Candidates who have the necessary prerequisites and who must meet the language requirements for admission to the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec.
